Good news! Last night our Board of Directors officially approved for our school to move forward with purchasing hotspot devices from Verizon. If those devices arrive on time, then our dates and times for pickup of Chromebooks, hotspots and paperwork needed for school will be as follows (please remember that these dates and times are tentative and dependent upon the devices arriving on time):

Wednesday, August 5th

If your last name starts with the letters A-F, your pickup day will be Wednesday, August 5th, and you can pick up the necessary materials any time between 8:00 am - 7:00 pm. We will have staff on site to assist with this process. If you are in the Upper School Building (grades 8-12), you will pull around towards the Upper School Building and await direction from a staff member. If you have a sibling in the Lower School (grades K-7), you will need to visit the 2-7 building to pick up the materials for students in grades K-7. You will remain in your vehicle at all times. Staff will assist you from your vehicle and provide direction on where to go.

Thursday, August 6th

If your last name starts with the letters G-O, your pickup day will be Thursday, August 6th, and you can pick up the necessary materials any time between 8:00 am - 7:00 pm. We will have staff on site to assist with this process. Friday, August 7th

If your last name starts with the letters P-Z, your pickup day will be Friday, August 7th, and you can pick up the necessary materials any time between 8:00 am - 7:00 pm. We will have staff on site to assist with this process. If you are in the Upper School Building (grades 8-12), you will pull around towards the Upper School Building and await direction from a staff member. *If you have siblings that have different last names that would make it so that you and your family have to come on multiple days, you do not have to do that. You can all come on the same day and we will assist everyone at the same time. It just may take us a little longer to get your needed materials, but if you'll be patient with us, we'll make it happen.

7/28/2020

The NECP Board of Directors will meet on Thursday night (7/30/2020) to finalize our plans for distributing chrome books and hot spot devices to our students that need them. Other procedures to implement remote learning will be shared at that time. This includes information on Google Classroom, Google Meet, email accounts, & PowerSchool Parent/Student portal.  We will also announce a plan for parents to pick up instructional resources from the school. Our goal is for students to be ready to begin remote learning by the end of next week.

7/24/2020

The North East Carolina Preparatory Board of Directors voted unanimously today to begin the 2020-2021 school year on Plan C, which is 100 percent remote instruction. This decision will be evaluated every two weeks to determine whether or not this is the safest option for our students and staff. We will share details next week about how to get chromebooks and hotspot devices for your students if you need them. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school at 252 641 0464.
